What was sacrificed.

burningforalltosee:

Is a typical Friday afternoon driving to your home

You turn on the radio.

The news says a story of little importance:

In a small and remote town, 3 people have died caused by a strange cold that has never seen before.

You don’t pay too much attention to it to this event…

On Monday when you wake up, you hear that its not 3 anymore, but 30,000 people that have died in remote hills of India.

Health Control People from the United States go and investigate.

On Tuesday is the most important news on the front of the newspaper because it’s not only in India, but Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan and soon the news is in every TV news they are calling it “The Mysterious Influence” and everyone is asking: “How are we going to control it?”

So the news surprises everyone:

Europe closes its borders; there won’t be any flights to France from India, or from any country where the disease has been seen.  Because of the closing of the borders you are watching the TV news, when you listen to the translation of a woman in France that says that there is a man in the Hospital Dying from the “Mysterious Influence”.

There is panic in Europe.

The information says that when you have the virus, is for a week and you don’t even know it. Then you have 4 days of horrible symptoms and then you die.

England also closes its borders, but in that afternoon, a day goes by and the President of The Unites States George Bush closes its borders to Europe and Asia to prevent the contagiousness in the country until they can find a cure…

The next day people gather at Churches to pray for a cure and someone enters and says: “Turn on the radio” and the news says: 2 women have died in New York. In a matter of hours it seems that the sickness is invading the whole world.

Scientists keep working to find an antidote, but nothing works. And suddenly, the awaited news comes: The DNA code of the Virus has been deciphered. An antidote can be done.

The blood is going to be required from someone who has not been infected. And in fact in all the country the voice is run that everyone go to the closest hospital so that a blood examination can be practiced.

You and your family along with some neighbors are asking you, “What’s going to happen? Is this the end of the world?”….

The doctor comes out suddenly shouting a name that has been read in the registry. The youngest of your children is beside you; he grabs you from your jacket and says: “Daddy? That’s my name!” Before you can react they take your child away and you shout: “WAIT!”…And they answer: “Everything is ok, his blood is clean…his blood is pure.

We believe your child has the type of correct blood.

After 5 long minutes the Doctors come out crying and laughing. Is the first time you have seen someone laugh in week. The senior Doctor age approaches you and says: “Thank you Sir! The blood of your child is perfect, is clean and pure, it can make the antidote against the disease…

The news runs everywhere; people are praying and crying of happiness.

Then. The doctor approaches you and your wife and says: “Can we talk to you for a moment please? We didn’t know that the donor would be a child and we need you to sign this form to give us permission to use his blood”. When you’re reading the document you realize that they didn’t put the amount that they need. And you ask them: “How much blood?”…

The Doctors smiles disappear and answers: “We had no idea it was going to be a boy. We weren’t prepared. We need it all…”

You can’t believe it and you try to answer:

“But, but…” The Doctor keeps insisting you, “You don’t understand, we are talking about the cure for the whole world. Please…sign the form we need it all. Then you ask: “But. Cant you give him a blood transfusion?” And the answer comes: “If we had clean blood we could…”

Will you sign? Please? Sign!

In silence and without been able to feel the same fingers that maintain the ball-point pen in your hand, you sign. And the Doctors ask you. “Would you like to see your son?”

You walk to the emergency room where your child is sitting in the bed saying: “Daddy, Mommy! What’s happening?” You grab his hand and you tell him: “Son, your mommy and I love you and we would never let anything happen to you that was unnecessary. Do you understand this? And when the Doctor comes back and says: “I’m sorry but we need to start, people all around the world are dying…”

Can you leave? Can you turn your back to your child and leave him there? While he says daddy? Mommy? Why are you abandoning me….?

The next week, when they make a ceremony to honor your son, some people stay at home sleeping, others don’t come because they rather go on a trip or watch a football or a baseball game. And others come to the ceremony with fake smiles pretending that it matters to them.

You want to get up and yell: “My son died for all of you!! Is it not important to you?

Perhaps that’s what God is trying to tell us: “My son died for you. You still don’t know how much I love you?

Is curious how simple it is to people to ditch God and then ask why is the world goes from bad to worst.

Is curious to see how we believe everything that we read in the newspaper, but we question what the Bible says.

Is curious how day by day, we put so much effort in treasuring personal values and we dedicate only a few minutes to treasure gifts from heaven.

Is curious how someone says: “I believe in God”, but with its actions shows that it follows others.

Is curious how we send many jokes by e-mail…same ones that spread like a fierce fire, but when you send a message that has to do with God, the people think before sharing it with others.

Is curious how lust, immature, vulgar and obscene travels freely through cyberspace, but the public discussion about Jesus is suppressed in schools and workplaces.

IS CURIOUS, ISNT IT?

Is curious that when you finish reading this message, you won’t feel the need to send it to people in your e-mail list; simply because you are not sure of what they believe or what they will think.

Is curious how we worry more about what people think, instead of what God think of us.
